Marijuana Increases your sexual desire rather than decreases it and makes you enjoy it more
Many people believe that smoking marijuana makes you lazy. Stoners are mostly perceived as people who sits on their couch and eat junk food every day and are too lazy to even have sex.
However, a few scientific discoveries has made this assumption to be invalid. According to a 2017 report by the Journal of Sexual Medicine, the use of cannabis is connected to higher frequency of sexual activities. In other words, individuals who consumed cannabis had a higher sex rate than individuals who don’t consume cannabis.
The group of analyst from the Stanford University in California gathered data from over 28,000 women and 22,000 men who were questioned by the Center for Disease Control. According the results, there was a lack of proof in the concept that cannabis reduces your ability to have sex, since there was a lack of connection between the utilization of cannabis and reduced sexual activities.
The senior author of the study and assistant professor of urology at Stanford, Michael Eisenberg said in a statement that the continuous use of marijuana does not seem to block the motivation to have sex or stop sexual performance, however, the use of marijuana is associated with higher coital frequency.
Michael Eisenberg added that the research does not show a standard connection between marijuana and sex — which means that marijuana smoking increases your sexual desire. However the results hint at it.
Eisenberg also said that the general trend which was applied to both masculine and feminine individuals on all races, ages, education levels, income groups and religions, every health status, marital status and number of children.
According to another study published at the beginning of 2017, it was discovered that 68% of women who consumed marijuana before having sex said that the sex was more pleasurable.
According to a World Drug report by the United Nations’, the total number of people who are estimated to consume cannabis could reach as many as 238 million people worldwide. In America, nine states and Washington, D.C have made recreational marijuana legal for adults of the age of 21 and above, while an adult can buy medical marijuana in a further 30 states.
