Tempe, Arizona will become the first state to open a medical marijuana kitchen which will serve meals to the public. Starting in October, the Mint Dispensary will be in charge of operating this new commercial kitchen and will provide medical marijuana patients with cannabis-infused foods and beverages.
The kitchen menu will be established by Executive Chef Carylann Principal, a survivor of cancer and a professionally trained chef. According to a statement by Principal, the kitchen will offer medicated and healthy foods.
Principal said their kitchen is very unique. It’s an area where art meets science. Moreover, learning the different types of flavors that come from different cannabis strains that can be added to any dish, they are also closely estimating customized cannabis doses. He also said that they deliver delicious, fresh foods, and also serving the complex nutritional needs of patients who live with different kinds of diseases.
Distinct Menu of Medicated Fare
The newly opened kitchen of the Mint Dispensary will provide patients with a state medical marijuana card, a menu which includes different types of medicated fare such as artisan burgers, pasta, pizza, and different alternatives that can be bought. Moreover, the kitchen will have a juice bar, gelato, and an espresso stop with a barista. The kitchen will also have a variety of pastries and baked goods such as blueberry muffins, apple fritters, doughnut holes, raspberry Linzer bars, scones, and banana bread. They will also provide Lunch and dinner menus such as Hatch chile macaroni and cheese, street tacos, fries, burgers, pizza, and pasta.
Every meal will be made up of a well-estimated dose of cannabinoids of 10 milligrams or more. According to the CEO of the Mint Dispensary Eivan Shahara, the new kitchen of the facility will make medical marijuana more available to patients.
Shahara said the marijuana industry will continue to progress at an exponential pace. Patients who were regular visitors at their dispensary had a lot of needs. Most patients are in search for fresh and healthy cannabis-infused foods. He also said that the correct types of healthy foods can help treat different kinds of diseases such as cancer, epilepsy, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases. He then added that the company is using knowledge about food and nutrition to help patients find fresh, healthy snacks and infused meals.
Varieties of Medicated Services
AS of November, the kitchen will be able to provide catering services for huge medicated events, parties and special occasions like weddings, birthdays, and funerals. Furthermore, the Mint Dispensary will establish home delivery and provide customized holiday meals for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. On Sundays, Cooking classes for cannabis will soon be provided free of charge for patients with a medicinal cannabis card. However, the classes will only accommodate a limited number of patients.
The opening date for the new medical marijuana kitchen by the Mint Dispensary is Friday, October 5. You can visit the kitchen seven days a week from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. The complete menu will be found on the dispensary’s website immediately it launches.
