{"id":3819,"date":"2019-10-01T04:41:46","date_gmt":"2019-10-01T02:41:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cannabisground.com\/?p=3819"},"modified":"2019-10-01T04:41:49","modified_gmt":"2019-10-01T02:41:49","slug":"consumidores-marihuana-mas-espermatozoides","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cannabisground.com\/es\/consumidores-marihuana-mas-espermatozoides\/","title":{"rendered":"Los consumidores de marihuana producen m\u00e1s espermatozoides"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Seg\u00fan un estudio sobre fertilidad del Hospital General de Massachusetts, los consumidores de marihuana producen m\u00e1s espermatozoides<\/h2>\n<p>Mientras que durante mucho tiempo los m\u00e9dicos aseguraban que el consumo de marihuana deterioraba la fertilidad masculina, la revista Human Reproduction public\u00f3 una investigaci\u00f3n realizada entre 2000 y 2017 en la cl\u00ednica de fertilidad del Hospital General de Massachusetts que concluy\u00f3 que los consumidores de marihuana producen m\u00e1s espermatozoides.<\/p>\n<p>Jorge Chavarro, uno de los autores del estudio, afirma que este descubrimiento pone de manifiesto lo poco que todav\u00eda sabemos sobre los efectos del cannabis en la salud reproductiva. Para la realizaci\u00f3n de esta investigaci\u00f3n se estudiaron 1143 muestras de semen de 662 hombres de una edad media de 36 a\u00f1os. 317 de ellos adem\u00e1s aportaron sangre para analizar las hormonas reproductivas.\u00a0Los resultados indicaron que el semen de los hombres que al menos hab\u00edan fumado un par de porros a lo largo de su vida, presentaban una concentraci\u00f3n de 62,7 millones de espermatozoides por mililitro mientras que en los que nunca en su vida hab\u00edan consumido marihuana, la concentraci\u00f3n fue de 45,4 millones de espermatozoides por mililitro.<\/p>\n<p>Otro dato importante es que de los hombres que hab\u00edan fumado al menos dos porros de marihuana en su vida, tan s\u00f3lo el 5% presentaba concentraciones por debajo de los 15 millones de espermatozoides por mililitro, que es el umbral que la OMS (Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud) considera como\u00a0nivel normal. Curiosamente, en los hombres que nunca han consumido cannabis, el porcentaje asciende al 12%. Y es todav\u00eda m\u00e1s significativo que entre los fumadores no se encontraron diferencias importantes entre los que consumieron marihuana en el pasado y los que lo contin\u00faan consumiendo.<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores que han realizado este estudio advierten de su limitaci\u00f3n por diversas razones. Las muestras de esperma fueron tomadas de hombres que hab\u00edan acudido a una cl\u00ednica de fertilidad. Todav\u00eda no se puede demostrar que los datos de este estudio sean extrapolables a todos los hombres en general. Tambi\u00e9n es posible que alguno de los participantes en el estudio haya mentido sobre el consumo de marihuana ya que durante varios a\u00f1os durante los que se realiz\u00f3 la investigaci\u00f3n, el consumo de marihuana era ilegal.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0El estudio tambi\u00e9n concluy\u00f3 que los niveles de testosterona en los fumadores de marihuana eran mayores, un indicativo de que el cannabis aumenta la\u00a0carga hormonal.<\/p>\n<p>Feiby Nassan, autor principal del estudio, dice que los hallazgos fueron contrarios a la hip\u00f3tesis que ten\u00edan como referencia ya que todos cre\u00edan que el cannabis disminu\u00eda la cantidad de esperma. Sin\u00a0embargo, los hallazgos son congruentes con dos interpretaciones diferentes. Por una parte, se ha descubierto que los consumidores moderados de marihuana producen m\u00e1s espermatozoides por el efecto del cannabis sobre el sistema endocannabinoide, que juega un papel importante en la fertilidad. Pero estos beneficios se pierden cuando el consumo de cannabis es abusivo. La otra interpretaci\u00f3n es que los hombres con mayores niveles de testosterona tienden a las conductas de riesgo, entre las que se incluye el consumo de marihuana.
